HOME 1/72 SCALE

Re-using captured vehicles was a widely used practice during World War 2, but particulary true for the Germans. The large amounts of softskinned vehicles which fell in to their hands during the Blitzkrieg years of 1940 and 1941 were used quickly used to augment their fighting and transport capacity. Captured AFV's were also pressed into service, either in their original configuration or modified. Images of these are not that easy to find and are of particular interest for modellers.

  1. Unidentified British staff car used by the Germans 1940. Nice camo job! If anyone recognizes this car, please let me know.
  2. Unidentified British staff car , same as above but from the other side. The caption says: just stealing some delicious grapes!
  3. Renault AHN truck in use by the Germans. The vehicle is marked as belonging to Panzergruppe 3.

More images will be added as I get them and have time to scan them.
